Hey gang – I’ve had every injury in the book over the years –  training at a high level means you are always on the edge of both injury and/or sickness, pushing those limits every day.  But for most of us it’s more about health and wellness, and finding a balance that allows us to push ourselves just enough to improve performance while staying injury-free.  That’s my job coaching through SportMedBC’s Sun Run InTraining Program, preparing thousands of people to safely and comfortably complete a 10K… in this case the Vancouver Sun Run.

It’s normal to experience some aches and pains in response to your training. Most of these will disappear as your body adjusts to the workloads, and some might require rest and special treatment. Joining me in this webinar tomorrow (Wed. Feb. 15th) will be Sport Physiotherapist Timberley George, and we’ll talk about what you may experiencing, no matter what event you might be training for. We’ll analyze common RunWalk discomforts and how you can manage them, and we’ll provide cross training ideas to help you stay healthy and fit. Register now, and tomorrow you’ll be able to grab your lunch and join us!
